About
Howdy, I’m Curtis Storm
I am a relationship builder who solves complex problems. What drives me is seeing the difference I can make for clients, teams, and communities. I set a high bar for my own work, move fast, and have always been more inclined to take on a hard problem than work around it. That carries into my life outside of work too. I gravitate towards things that require substantial effort and commitment, whether that means taking on a complicated project or spending months preparing for a demanding run or bike ride.
Curiosity probably explains more about me than any other trait. I genuinely enjoy learning, especially when I can get beneath the surface of something and understand how it really works. That might mean figuring out how a business operates, what motivates the people inside it, learning an entirely new skill or tool, or understanding how a decision in one part of a system is likely to affect everything around it. I naturally connect ideas, look for patterns, and think ahead to what may happen next.
I have a Finance degree from the University of Central Florida, where I graduated summa cum laude. I started my career in West Palm Beach, Florida, spent eight years in Austin, Texas, and I am now based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Civic involvement is an important part of my life. I enjoy contributing my time and expertise to organizations and communities I care about.
Career
Work
My career has been a mix of banking, relationship management, and consulting, working primarily with mid-size corporations, real estate investors, developers, and builders. This work has relied heavily on my ability to build relationships, identify opportunities to create value for clients, anticipate their needs as their businesses evolve, solve complex problems, and adapt as priorities change.

Over the years, I’ve realized that I’m at my best when there’s a lot going on. Give me multiple challenging scenarios, varying timelines, complex topics, competing priorities, incomplete information, different personalities, and a bunch of moving pieces, and my brain functions with surprising clarity. I can visualize how one decision affects another, where things connect, and what needs attention before it becomes obvious to others.
Real estate has been a consistent thread inside and outside of my career, particularly investing, development, and construction. I’m a licensed real estate agent and general contractor, and over the years I’ve sponsored, managed, and invested in both commercial and residential projects.

Community Involvement
I enjoy being deeply involved with organizations and communities I care about. Through various civic involvement, I lead people, solve organizational problems, build partnerships, raise money, strengthen organization credibility, develop relationships with public agencies and community leaders, and improve how things operate.
Most recently, that involvement has been with the Tarheel Trailblazers, a regional nonprofit based in Charlotte, North Carolina focused on building, maintaining, and advocating for natural surface trails used by mountain bikers, hikers, runners, and enjoyers of nature.

I’ve been involved with trail and cycling organizations since I was a kid and served on another cycling board in Texas. Trails have been a constant for me my entire life, and staying involved has been one of the ways I’ve remained connected to something I genuinely care about.
